Taking a moments pause seems unlikely. I’m too busy! What was I thinking? But then another thought pops into my head: how nice would it be to take a little break from my busy mind and enjoy peaceful silence?
The act of being creative is not to show who you are, but to ask the question “who am I?” The outcome of our creativity will always be a bit messy, and it is beautiful because of that.
You can ask yourself one important question while practicing mindfulness:
Do I feel contraction or expansion?
Contraction is a closing, a tightening, a heaviness. Expansion is an opening, an ease, an opportunity.
